Group Formats

In-Person groups

Meet at East End CHC 1619 Queen Street East (at Coxwell Ave). Registration is required as there is room capacity limit. Mask are now optional.

Hybrid groups

Meet virtually over zoom and in person at the Centre at the same time. Registration is required as there is room capacity limit for the in-person group.

Virtual groups

Meet on Zoom and requires access to an electronic device (computer, phone, or tablet) and a WIFI connection.

Improve stability and build your strength to reduce fall risks. Starting June 27th, 2024 join us on Thursdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM and get weekly home exercises. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Living with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes? Join DECNET – Diabetes Education Community Network of East Toronto. Learn about diabetes, mental health and well-being. Share experiences and support peers in a safe welcoming environment. Monday Jun. 3rd, Jul. 8th, Aug. 12th, Sept. 9th, Oct. 7th, Nov. 4th, Dec. 2nd, 2024 from 3:00 – 4:30 PM.

Let’s get started on your journey to becoming a green thumb! Join us twice a month from 1:00 – 2:30 PM. Learn how to care for and grow plants in your home, balcony or window sill. Get advice on the plants you already have and receive supplies like seedlings, cuttings or seeds to get started. Start your plant-growing journey.

Struggling with shoulder pain or looking to prevent it? Starting June 27th, 2024 join us on Thursdays from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Learn how the shoulders work, common injuries and how posture can impact your shoulders. Discuss strategies you can use to manage shoulder pain. Try shoulder strengthening and stretching exercises. Get tips on foods that provide sources of nutrients that build muscle and contribute to healthy joints.

Tai Chi involves slow, gentle movements, postures, meditation and controlled breathing. Drop-in on Wednesdays from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, you don’t need to pre-register. You’ll need to fill out forms when you attend for the first time. Improve strength, flexibility and balance. Relieve pain, enhance sleep and boost mood.
